The "Brands of Viet Nam in Myanmar: Quality to success" Exhibition organized by the Vietnam Embassy in Myanmar was opened at the Myanmar Plaza, Yangon, on October 28th, 2019.

​Attending the opening ceremony of the Exhibition there were Chief Minister of Yangon Region Government U Phyo Min Thein, Permanent Secretary of Myanmar Union Ministry of Commerce U Aung Soe, President of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry U Zaw Min Win and officials from Myanmar's Union Ministry of Trade and Yangon Region Government, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Business Club in Myanmar and its members, and the leaders of the Vietnam companies/ enterprises that have goods and services on display at the Exhibition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnam Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Dr. Luan Thuy Duong stated that since the establishment of the Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership in 2017, the relationship between Viet Nam and Myanmar have achieved significant progress in many areas, especially in trade and investment. Viet Nam is ranking 7th among 50 countries and territories investing in Myanmar with 25 projects amounting $2.2 billion. Viet Nam is the 9th largest trading partner of Myanmar with total trade increasing 13% annually in the past 5 years, reaching $860 million in 2018 and being expected to reach $1 billion in 2020.

​The Ambassador also said that the brands of goods and services of Viet Nam as well as brands of Vietnam businesses are wellcome and well-known by Myanmar people. "With the 3 purposes: (i) to advertise the Vietnam brands of goods and services; (ii) to enhance the exportation of Vietnamese goods to this potential country; and (iii) to promote the distribution channels of Vietnamese goods in Myanmar, the Embassy of Vietnam in Myanmar organize the Exhibition for 2 days (29 and 30 October 2019) to introduce to Myanmar people the brands of goods and services of Vietnam", said Ambassador.

The Exhibition gathers 22 groups of companies/ businesses who represent many sectors such as: Electrical & electronic, textile and garment, porcelains; Food and beverage; Construction and construction materials; Information technology and telecommunicaton; Finance and banking, aviation, tourism and logistics. There are brands which have been familiar and popular with Myanmar customers such as Mytel, Bphone, Vsmart, BIDV, HD Bank, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Vimyanmar Tour, Bee, FastGo, Kangaroo, StreamNet, ATAD, AIMA, Lioa, Eurowindow, Minh Long, Tran Phu, Han Viet, VinaFood, Hai Ha, Hello 5,…
