       From 22 to 25 December 2016, the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar together with the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and other concerned agencies successfully held the Vietnam Expo 2016 in Yangon, Myanmar. The exhibition is an important event in strengthening the political, economic and commercial ties between Viet Nam and Myanmar. It also helps boosting Vietnamese export and investment to Myanmar and contributes to promoting the national image, brands and products of Vietnamese in other countries.

         This exhibition attracted 63 exhibitors from 11 provinces / cities across Viet Nam with 110 booths. There were estimated 35,000 visitors during the exhibition. At the exhibition, 40% of all participating enterprises have found their new potential partners to expand their distribution network. Direct selling businesses have also achieved considerable success as the total value of merchandises sold directly at the exhibition was estimated more than 250,000 USD. The exhibition has attracted the attention and impressed the business community, the administrator as well as Myanmar public and international friends.

          Viet Nam is now Myanmar's ninth largest trading partner and has 125 representative offices of Vietnamese enterprises in Myanmar.
